Indulgent Chocolate Pear Turnovers
Impress your family and weekend guests with these simple chocolate pear turnovers using ingredients found in your pantry and freezer!
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 400 F.
Cut 1 sheet defrosted puff pastry into 4 equal squares. Spray both sides with cooking spray and lay pastry squares on baking sheet.
Spread 1/2 tbsp. Nutella onto diagonal half of square.
Arrange pear slices on top and sprinkle 1/2 tbsp. almonds on top.
Fold dough over and press edges together using a fork.
Beat 1 egg and brush onto top turnovers.
Bake at 400 F for 14 minutes or until puff pastry is golden brown.
Sift powered sugar over turnover and serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
