Beef Stroganoff With Egg Noodles
This is a quick and delicious recipe that is very filling.
Ingredients
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 1/2 pounds quality beef for stews
- 2 cups water
- 2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tbsp steak sauce
Directions
- Boil the beef in a skillet with water, mushrooms, onion, pepper, steak sauce until tender-about 15-20 minutes
- In a seperate pot cook the egg noodles until just before they are completely done
- Drain the noodles and set aside
- Remove the meat from the skillet set aside
- Using the whipping cream and flour, continue to boil the sauce as you thicken it
- Return the noodles and meat to the sauce and saute for about 8-10 minutes
Additional Notes
If you like thinner sauce, use less flour or you may add a little water. As the dish cooks in the last few minutes it will thicken more.
