Romanian Mititei (Grilled Meatballs)

Ingredients

1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground lamb
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 tsp baking soda
salt, pepper and paprika to taste

Mititei is a traditional Romanian grilled meatball dish best served accompanied by mustard, bread and beer.

Directions

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together.
Form mixture into sausage-shaped rolls about 1 inch in diameter and 3-4 inches long.
Cover them and refrigerate for 2 to 8 hours.
Grill "mititei" on BBQ for 8-10 minutes on medium heat. Do not let them dry too much; they are better if they are juicy.
Serve right away with mustard and bread.
