Dad's Favorite Barbeque Country Ribs
 

Ingredients

4-5 pounds country-style pork ribs
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp. vinegar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 cup ketchup
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
1 cup water
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
Salt to taste
Red pepper (powder or flakes) to taste

This barbecue sauce is sweet and tangy and goes well with any kind of meat or poultry. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender and juicy.

Directions

Mix together all ingredients except the ribs in a medium saucepan.
Cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
Place ribs in a 13 x 9 inch pan.
Pour sauce over ribs and bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes.
Turn ribs over, reduce temperature to 350 degrees, and bake for another hour.

Additional Notes

This is a great sauce to use when grilling outdoors as well.
