Hawaiian Ham Steaks

Take a quick trip to the islands without ever leaving the mainland.
Ingredients
  • 4 Pineapple rings, canned reserve juice
  • 4 boneless ham steaks
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
  1. Melt butter in a skillet and brown pineapple rings on both sides, remove and set aside.
  2. Place ham in skillet and brown quickly, just to get color, remove and set aside
  3. Add brown sugar, cloves and reserved pineapple juice to pan bring to a boil and reduce to low heat. Return ham and pineapple rings to skillet, turning to coat with brown sugar sauce. Serve hot.
