Easy Beef Goulash

Ingredients

1 large plastic zip lock bag
1 pound beef stew meat
1/2 cup flour
Salt and pepper
1 small onion, peeled and minced
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 Cup baby carrots cut into quarters
1 Cup water
1 Tablespoon butter
1 pound wide egg noodle cooked according to package

A simple and very filling meal that is easy on your wallet.

Directions

Place flour salt and pepper in plastic bag and blend. Toss meat cubes in bag, cover well with flour mixture.
Heat butter and olive oil in heavy bottle skillet, add onion and cook until clear, add meat cubes and brown on all sides.
Add carrots and water to skillet and bring to a boil, cover , turn down to low and simmer 15 - 20 minutes or until meat and carrots are tender.
Prepare egg noodles, drain and keep warm.
Toss 1 Tablespoon of butter in hot noodles, add the remaining Tablespoon of butter to the hot goulash just before serving.
Serve goulash on top of hot noodles.
