Easy Beef Goulash

A simple and very filling meal that is easy on your wallet.
Ingredients
- 1 large plastic zip lock bag
- 1 pound beef stew meat
- 1/2 cup flour
- Salt and pepper
- 1 small onion, peeled and minced
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Cup baby carrots cut into quarters
- 1 Cup water
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1 pound wide egg noodle cooked according to package
Directions
- Place flour salt and pepper in plastic bag and blend. Toss meat cubes in bag, cover well with flour mixture.
- Heat butter and olive oil in heavy bottle skillet, add onion and cook until clear, add meat cubes and brown on all sides.
- Add carrots and water to skillet and bring to a boil, cover , turn down to low and simmer 15 - 20 minutes or until meat and carrots are tender.
- Prepare egg noodles, drain and keep warm.
- Toss 1 Tablespoon of butter in hot noodles, add the remaining Tablespoon of butter to the hot goulash just before serving.
- Serve goulash on top of hot noodles.

An American version of a staple from the old country. This is a good hearty meal that will warm you up on a cold night.
