Yummy Chinese Chicken Casserole
Ingredients
1/2 lb boneless, skinless chicken tenders
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup sliced green bell pepper
3/4 cup sliced onion
3/4 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp light brown sugar
2 1/4 tsp vinegar
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tbsp teriyaki sauce
This is an easy Chinese recipe that can satisfy all your cravings, and fill your tummy at the same time! Simply delicious!
Directions
Preheat toaster oven to 425.
Spray square or rectangular baking dish with cooking spray.
Combine chicken, celery, bell pepper, and onion in dish; sprinkle with garlic powder.
Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, flour, and teriyaki sauce in a bowl or blender and whisk or blend until mixed.
Pour mixture over chicken and vegetables; cover with foil, and bake 1 hour, until chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender.
Additional Notes
Refrigerate celery in a plastic bag in the crisper, where it will keep for up to two weeks. Do not store in the coldest area of the refrigerator, as celery freezes easily, damaging the cell walls. Once thawed, the celery will be limp and watery. To maintain freshness, sprinkle celery stalks occasionally with water.
