Delicious Cornbread Chili Casserole

Cornbread Chili Casserole
 

Ingredients

One can chili beans
One can kidney beans
One can diced tomatoes
2 cups of V8 juice
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 white onion diced
2 tbsp chili powder
2/3 cup milk
2 eggs
2 boxes Jiffy cornbread mix
1/2 lb browned ground beef

This recipe makes a great combo for picnics or other outdoor events. Everybody will leave full and happy!

Directions

Mix the Jiffy cornbread mix as directed on the box and sit aside
Cook the chili in a small pot after adding the browned ground beef at medium to high heat with all other ingredients
In a small baking dish add the chili after removing from the stove
Cover the top of the chili with the cornbread evenly
Bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes until the cornbread is golden brown and fully cooked
Cut into squares to serve

Additional Notes

As you place the chili in the baking dish, avoid using too much of the chili sauce so it is not too thin.
