Carey's Yummy Blackberry Cake
When fresh blackberries off the vine are ripe, so is this cake.
Directions
Preheat oven to 360 F
Use a blender to cream sugar, eggs, berries, crisco, buttermilk
Add flour and other ingredients to blender and mix well
Grease and flour a 9 x13 baking dish
Pour the cake batter into the pan and spread evenly
Bake for 45 minutes or until cake pulls from the sides of pan
Serve with whole berries
Additional Notes
Cake batter will be thick and purple when spreading into the pan.
