Carey's Cup of Cake To Go

2 cups of sugar

1/2 cup of butter

3 eggs

2 cups flour

7 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup boiling water

1 cup sour cream

I needed to recognize a birthday in an unusual way amongst other family events. This recipe is great for freezing and pulling out at a later time.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine ingredients except the for the frosting

Grease and flour the cups as you would a baking pan and place on a cookie sheet

Fill the cups about half way with the cake batter

Bake at 350 until done as you would any other cake

Remove from oven, once cooled frost and serve

Go to a dollar store to purchase the heavy ceramic cups.
