Classic Banana Spice Bread
Ingredients
1 cup whole-wheat flour
2 cups bread flour
1 cup quick-cooking or regular rolled oats
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup egg substitute
3 tbsp. unsweetened applesauce
1 1/4 cup mashed bananas

Directions
Add whole-wheat flour, bread flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, yeast, brown sugar, egg substitute, applesauce, and bananas to bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
Process on the whole-wheat bread cycle.

According to researchers at Harvard University, whole grains lower your changes for stroke. Women who replaced one serving a day of refined grains with whole grains had a 30 to 40 percent lower stroke risk compared to those who didn't.
